Week 01
A mixed group of Swedes, Norweigns and Brits opened the season this year with a quite spectacular weeks-fishing for a premier week. This week might even be the best premier week ever in our 5 years old operation...more >>
Week 02
A group consisting of 9 American fishermen, lead by the notorious Joe Roope (aka Idaho Joe). The week started a bit slower than expected but picked up in the middle of the week. It almost always starts slow since the anglers got to adapt to a different technique, and not to mention, the wind of Patagonia....more >>
Week 03
The weather is definitely not acting like normal this year, nearly an entire week with easterly winds (upstream), must be close to a record, but not one to be remembered. Upstream winds is generally the worst wind you can get no matter where in the world you’re fishing for running fish. But this week we had the “veterans” back on the riverbank, after been fishing the river for close to 7 years, they know how to deal with these, from time to time, quite tricky fish....more >>
Week 04
The high water from last week started to drop, but on Sunday it changed colour to very dark brown, probably due to a flood in the tributary “Rio Rubens”, which always goes very coloured if flooded. So Sunday was quite difficult, big flies were needed and because of the, still, high water, fast-sinking leaders came in handy....more >>
Week 05
If you ever should chose a group to go fishing with, you should definitely consider to go with Team Ireland! It seems like the “fishing god” holds a hand over them. Last year and again this year they ended up having a super week, with conditions you could only wish for....more >>
Week 06
Finally the weather is back to normal, sunshine with drifting clouds and most downstream winds (if any at all), and a rise in the temperature, which was needed, especially in the river....more >>
Week 07
El Chrillo (Christer Sjöberg) with friends dropped in for a short visit this week, before most of them went off to Jurassic lake, and left only Hördur and Magnus back to fish the river from Thursday morning, and by Thursday afternoon there was only Magnus and his son Max left in the river....more >>
Week 08
A slow start on the week, made us decide to go exploring other places. First a party of 4 rods went to Santa Cruz to see if the steelheads had arrived....more >>
Week 09
As mentioned last week, you just cannot control the weather, and this week offered everything you could think of. A bit like like all four seasons in a week. It started out cold and windy with a couple of days with snow/hail showers, then changed into hot summer days, with very cold nights (way below 0C) finally ending with an upstream wind and greyish cloud cover....more >>
Week 10
A mixed group of nationalities, Scots, Swedes a Spanish and a Brit not to mention a Swede living in England, most having been here before so it was an experienced crew visiting us this week....more >>
Week 11
Eion “Rubberlegs” Fairgrieve came along with his group, most had been here before but two were new, Philip “Wilde Thing” Wilde and James Fryer. Added to this group was Andrew Sanderson who also had visited us, though a couple of years ago, he wasn’t unfamiliar with the river....more >>
Week 12
Zander Kennies who was one of two who never had been here before, since he normally goes for brown trout in the UK and New Zealand. His former record of sea trout was 2½lbs, and after a days adapting to the river, wind and not at least a double handed rod, he broke his old record with no more than 600%, we suggested him that he, in the future, should keep some of the small ones for bait....more >>
